WSU vs Oregon – Preview
By Nick Nordi
The Washington State Cougars play host to the Oregon Ducks this weekend in their first meeting in Pullman since 2010. The Cougars are looking to end the Ducks 7 game win streak over them and hopefully give them a boost for the rest of the season.

We all know what Oregon can do and how they do it, what might come as a surprise to most people is that the Cougars are ranked higher than the Ducks is quite a few categories.
Oregon is led by Heisman front-runner Marcus Mariota while the Cougars are led by FBS passing yard leader Connor Halliday and both are starting their pac-12 play this weekend.
Mariota and the Ducks are very explosive and fast and have the ability to score quick and often and that is what is going to be the toughest thing for the Cougars to overcome. We have seen the Cougars score fast but they don’t have the speed to match Oregon and that is not something that should come off as a surprise.
The last time the Cougars beat the Ducks was in 2006 when 16th ranked Oregon was upset 34-23 in Pullman. The Cougars are looking to repeat history this year and it would be a huge boost after a disappointing few opening games.
