Running Backs

There are still plays to be made that aren’t being made by the running backs (especially in the passing game), but in all truthfulness they get this grade because of three things; their combined play-making on special teams, Jeremiah Laufasa’s surprising nose for the endzone inside the 5 yard line and the Marcus Mason, Teondray Caldwell duo in the open field. All have performed above expectations this season.

The Cougs are even already out-rushing last years totals in both touchdowns (6) and yards (352) just six games into the season. They are awesome and somewhat electric in the open field, but still go down too easily.

A big shout out to Caldwell for scoring his first rushing touchdown as a Coug last week and Mason for his first receiving touch as well.
