Good draft day morning Coug fans! Of course this is the weekend where we turn all of our attention to the NFL and for our pro teams we celebrate like it’s Christmas weekend, but it’s never a good time to forget about the Cougs, even for a day! Leach: Cougars better at every position – Spokesman

 “We’re better at every position,” Leach said. “I can’t think of a position we’re not better at. We’re still not as deep as we’d like to be. We’re more cohesive. Guys’ efforts complement one another rather than just a series of individual efforts that are threaded together.”

As for practice itself, it was pretty spirited, as Leach said. No last-day-of-school monotony despite it being the final practice of spring.

It wasn’t full contact — just helmets and shoulder pads — but it was still competitive. Halliday led the offense to scores on each of the drives he commanded during team session

Gabe Marks Leads Improved Wide Receiver Corps for Washington State Cougars – Rant

Mike Leach is looking for playmakers in year two as head coach of the Washington State Cougars to try and bring some success to the Palouse. While most of the attention will be paid to the quarterback competition between Connor Halliday and Austin Apodaca, the key to a turnaround at WSU may lie in the improvement of the wide receiving corps this spring, led by sophomore Gabe Marks.
