  • Out: Orion Peters (to Idaho), DT Sheffield (to North Texas), Josh Kelly (to Texas Tech)
  • In: Kyle Maxwell (from LA Tech), Tre Shackelford (from Austin Peay), Kris Hutson (from Oregon), Christopher Barnes (3-star recruit), Isaiah Cobbs  (3-star recruit), Landon Wright  (3-star recruit), Anthony Freeman (3-star recruit)
  • Stayed: Tsion Nunnally (redshirt junior), Kyle Williams (senior), Lincoln Victor (senior), Leyton Smithson (junior), Carlos Hernandez (sophomore), Isaiah Hamilton (redshirt senior)

Having Orio Peters, DT Sheffield, and Josh Kelly transfer to other programs is a pretty big loss for the Cougars’ depth chart.

Luckily Dickert was able to bring in a 2024 signing class filled with three-star prospects at the position. Barnes, Cobbs, Wright, and Freeman should develop into highly talented receivers for the program.

Alongside the true freshmen will be transfer Kyle Maxwell, Tre Shackelford. and Kris Hutson. Most notably, Hutson played for former-conference foe, the Oregon Ducks, for his first four years of eligibility.

The stars who stayed in Pullman and who bring program experience to the field, are Tsion Nunnally, Kyle Williams, and Lincoln Victor.

The amount of talent that the Cougars have at the wide receiver position creates a different kind of battle in itself. The fights for the starting jobs at wideout will be highly contested and there are only so many spots available.
