It’s a new week for the Washington State Football team, that means it’s another week to bet on college football games. How do the Cougs stack up this week?

After shellacking the Cardinal this past Saturday, the Washington State Football team is poised to build upon their good fortune this week against Arizona State. The Cougars open as a 9 point favorite over the visiting Sun Devils this upcoming weekend. This is the largest amount Washington State has been favored by since earlier in the season.

So far this year, the Washington State football team is 6-3 against the spread. Meaning that they have almost definitely deepened  the pockets of some lucky Cougar fans out there. So, chances are high they are able to win another one this Saturday.

The Washington State football team is coming off their biggest margin of victory of the season, is returning home against a warm weather team that is starting their backup QB. ASU also fired their coach earlier this season and have only beat one respectable team this season. If that is not enough reason to pick the Cougs, then I don’t know what is. As inconsistent as Washington State football has been this year, I like their odds against a mediocre team in the cold confines of Martin Stadium.

THE PICK: Washington State -9

Without further ado, here are my top three bets for this upcoming weekend:

In a matchup of Pacific NW rivals, I am rolling with the Ducks as they lay 13.5 points to the Huskies. Not only because I am a biased Washington State football blogger but because Oregon is very good, they are at home, and they hate the Huskies just as much as we do.

THE PICK: Oregon -13.5

College Gameday this weekend heads to Austin, TX as the TCU Horned Frogs play the Longhorns in a good old fashioned Texas showdown. The Longhorns are a surprising 7 point favorite over the undefeated Horned Frogs. Texas has hung with some of the best teams in the country and they are at home, so it surely will be a great football game. Despite all that, give me the Frogs with the points in a must win game for their playoff hopes.

THE PICK: TCU +7

Lastly, lets get wild with a long shot. Louisville is a 7 point underdog against the highly ranked Clemson Tigers this weekend. Clemson just got waxed by a Notre Dame team that lost to Stanford. The same Stanford team that our Washington State football team dismantled just two days ago. By that backward logic, Clemson isn’t worth their ranking and they are poised for another let down. Give me the Cardinals straight up, I feel lucky.

THE PICK: Louisville ML

That’s all for this week’s best bets. Come back next week for more as we continue to cover the Washington State football team and everything that revolves around them. As always, bet responsibly and GO COUGS!
