This one should be obvious. If the Cougars have pulled an upset against either Oregon or Stanford and have 1-2 losses at this point, Game day could finally make it to Pullman. I know it seems crazy for me to say and I know people will say I’m dreaming but with an upset or two along the way, this sets up to be an interesting game.
There are so many story lines to this game, if the Cougs are only one loss down, I don’t see how Gameday could stay away! First of all, they’re already looking for an excuse to come to Pullman with the flag being there so often. Second, you have the whole, ‘Sark’s the rival’s old coach’ having been in Seattle the past five years, so Pullman naturally hates him. Third, who didn’t hear about that crazy game that happened in So-Cal last year? You know, the game that eventually led to Sark’s relocation.
The only way Gameday stays away is if the Cougs are terribly disappointing or the Trojans aren’t impressive. Not to say both couldn’t happen but I just can’t believe that will be the case. This will be a wildly entertaining game start to finish. An explosive passing attack in the Cougs and a stout, freakishly athletic defense from USC… Let the fireworks blow!
