Last year Cal was a very troubled team.  Riddled with injury and plagued with a Pac-12 schedule, the Golden Bears didn’t get a win outside of Portland State.  Now even though the Bears passing offense was at a premium against the Cougs, they failed to pose a challenge when it came to outscoring Wazzu.  This year will be more of the same as the Cougars offense will be yet another step ahead of Cal.

This game is pretty low on my list because it has the makings to be close for a half but I am very confident by the 4th it will be pretty much over.  The Cougs should run away with this one thanks to their depth and overall talent.  Sorry Cal but it just won’t be that interesting this year.  The excitement with this game lies in what the Cougars do early in their schedule.  With any luck this win could push the Cougs to 5-1 and that’s pretty exciting to think about, so there may still be a reason to get up for this one.
