Rico Forbes Signs with British Columbia Lions, John Fullington Sticks with Green Bay Packers
By Josh Davis
Former Washington State offensive tackle Rico Forbes is headed to the Canadian Football League after signing a free agent contract with the British Columbia Lions.
Forbes was in Green Bay Packers rookie camp after being invited to their rookie mini-camp, but a week later, he’s onto his next job opportunity. Forbes is listed as an OL on the roster but projects to tackle. The Lions start their season later this month, on July 28th. Interestingly, Forbes will not be the only former Coug on the BC roster, linebacker Alex Hoffman-Ellis is also there.

Meanwhile, John Fullington is still on the Packers’ roster after the mini-camp. Packer’s coach Mike McCarthy was pretty excited about adding Fullington to the competition.
He started 43 games while at Washington State and possesses some good experience in a pass-first offense, Green Bay qualifies with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.
The Packers started their three-session OTA’s five days ago and continued yesterday. Their last session will be on May 10. Fullington’s just trying to make an impression and he’ll need to make the most of each opportunity.
