4: Darius Lemora and Taylor Taliulu

Lemora is a name you’ll want to know going into the season, so watch him today. He has been known to lay the lumber in Cougar practices and could be a young and exciting replacement to the great Deone Bucannon, who is all set to be an important NFL Draft pick in a couple weeks.

The rs freshman struggled with some undisclosed injuries early last season, or he was all set to possibly start over Taliulu at free safety by game three or four. The injury set Lemora back, but also gave him the opportunity to better prepare himself for the rigors of the Pac-12.

Meanwhile, Taliulu is the elder statesman of the entire secondary in terms of game experience and really must step up his game if the Cougs are to have a reliable source of production in their defensive backfield this Fall. He has been wildly inconsistent and struggled mightily at times last season to keep his head in the game.
