The Cougars are finally over the hump and here is no way Washington State can fairly be held out of a bowl game now! After Arizona’s win over Oregon, that win alone from last week should get the Cougs an invite somewhere, anywhere! Throw in one of the toughest schedules in the country, a 38 point show at Oregon, a great showing at Auburn, the win at USC… This team is absolutely in a bowl in my mind.

It was an absolutely HUGE weekend in Pullman as far as recruiting goes. Three verbals to other schools (Washington, USC and UCLA) were in town, along with at least five more (three officials, two unofficial). The excitement of the Martin Stadium crowd and the team on the sidelines as the game unfolded had to be exciting for those kids and then the win topped everything off. Better believe these kids had a great time and there are some mixed emotions toward WSU at this moment.

WSU could potentially end up in 3rd place in the Pac-12 North. If Washington were to beat Oregon State, the Cougs would have a shot at taking their spot behind Stanford and Oregon in the Apple Cup. This from a team that Cougar fans were talking about going 0-3 to finish the season after watching the Arizona State game. Anyway, the Cougs will sit back and watch their rivals play in Corvallis tonight. Tonight it’s not about 3rd place though, these kids will be routing for Oregon State all night long, because that would give the Cougs a chance to potentially knock the Dawgs out of a bowl with their late season swoon! How sweet would that be?

*Editor’s Note: On a side note, how in the world does USA sports NOT have a photo man at this game!? We apologize for the old photos I swear we’re the only school that has this happen. Maybe we’ll start to get respect after this game! Nothing can ruin the moment of the Cougs getting their 6th win!
