3: Pressure

Expect a lot of exotic pressures and blitz packages this week to try and confuse the quarterback on either side of the coin tonight. Both teams had 10 days to game plan for this one and I’m sure neither is willing to give the quarterback any amount of extra time to pick them apart.

Washington State has gone more and more base in it’s looks since Stanford torched them on play actions, but they really don’t have any chance playing that way against even a semi-explosive offense. Arizona State has been pretty consistent in their willingness to pressure out of different looks, but I’m sure they got just a little creative over the past week plus.

The team with the most pressures tonight could very well win this football game.
