A terrific short video on the history of the Trojan uniform can be found here. Cardinal and Gold are the unwavering standards, with the current logo entering the picture in 1972.
The chevrons have appeared periodically, but when present, none identify a jersey as theirs, as much as the “SC” Logo. Tradition is present at SC like no other program in the conference.
Southern Cal fans push for changes at coach and quarterback constantly, no one will ever hear a call for uniform change.
