Washington State is headed to Berkeley in week 6 of the college football season to face the California Golden Bears in new Memorial Stadium. The Cougars are 3-2 (1-1) on the still young season while Cal comes in with a 1-3 (0-1) record. Both teams got manhandled in week 5, the Cougars to the Stanford Cardinal 55-17, the Golden Bears to the Oregon Ducks 55-16.

WSU is a 1.5 point favorite for this game, the first time the team has been favored on the road since 2006 when they traveled to Corvallis for a 13-6 victory over the Beavs of Oregon State.

Cal has won the last 8 meetings between the two schools, including a 31-17 victory last season in Pullman, but things are different now. Mike Leach is in his second full season at the helm of the WSU program while Leach protege Sonny Dykes is in his first with California.

WSU is making their second appearance of the season on FoxSports 1 today (the first since a week 2 win against the Trojans of USC in Los Angeles).

Unfortunately it seems that FoxSports 1 has no legal streaming of their football games set up at this time, so if you are without a television provider that carries the new channel you might need to head to your local sports bar to catch the action.
