Washington State Football At Auburn: A Cinematic look at Week 1

Fall approaches and with all the changing leaves, New sweatshirts, Pumpkin flavored drinks and nature at it’s most beautiful stage comes the heavily anticipated College Football season.

There is an undoubtable excitement in week 1 for both Washington State and Auburns Football programs.  Both teams only won 3 games last year and both are hungry to return to bowl games this season.  The only question is in week 1 who will rise to the occasion and take that first step.  This step looks tougher for the visiting Washington State Cougars going into an unforgiving environment but there is much promise in Mike Leaches 2nd year back in Coaching.

Auburns squad is promising as well.  Young, talented and now with Gus Malzahn now at the helm of this elite SEC program, Auburn looks to be on the fast track back to the top but it is still a far climb.  As Washington State learned last year, a new Coach doesn’t always automatically clear up all the issues in a program but merely helps start a healing process.  The big question for auburn is can they start the year off quick and gain momentum by beating an up and coming Washington State squad.

Can a Pac12 team travel across the country and take out an SEC team at home week 1? Or will the SEC stand firm and proud and continue to dominate week 1 match ups at home? Only time will tell.
