Earlier this week, news of a court date involving Teondray Caldwell broke. He could be facing burglary and assault charges stemming from an April 28th incident. Toni Pole was also arrested last week after allegedly making false statements to the police. So, obviously a very disappointing week for Cougar football.
I actually thought this would be a very quiet off-season with virtually no news, and clearly I was wrong. This is very disappointing to hear from, even though Caldwell’s issue may be a non-issue according to his version. Regardless, they need to try to stay away from trouble.
Logan Mayes was arrested for hit and run on Thursday evening, according to the Pullman Police logs. He sat out most of this spring due to an injury, but is still expected to play significant time this season. One thing for sure is that we truly don’t know too much about this incident just yet. Hopefully he’s the last player to get in trouble with the law and none of them get dismissed because that’s something this team truly can’t afford.
As i stated, there aren’t any details about what happened leading up to the hit and run, but one thing that we know is that this incident occurred on his birthday.
Here’s a link to the log, if you would like to read it : http://www.pullman-wa.gov/departments/police/news-a-statistics/daily-activity-log/details/720-view-incidents
