Well, whoever attends this “Air Raid” Clinic is definitely going to be getting quite a bit of knowledge from Mike Leach, which isn’t a bad thing. Any idea who made this even happen?
He’s a familiar name if you know Coach Leach’s background. It was SMU assistant football coach Hal Mumme, late Tuesday night he announced that a three-day clinic featuring Washington State head coach Mike Leach is scheduled for June 6-8 at the Menger Hotel.
Some of the other guest speakers in the lineup include:
Mumme, a San Antonio native, recently hired as assistant head coach and passing game coordinator at SMU.
Shannon Dawson, offensive coordinator at West Virginia;
Also, Bill Bedenbaugh, offensive line coach at Oklahoma.
With 300 clinic spots open, Mumme has encouraged coaches to sign up early through his website : http://halmummefb.com/
You’ll want to sign up fairly fast as those spots won’t last long.
He went on to say that the clinic will be held in the ballroom of the Menger in downtown San Antonio.
Being able to listen to Mumme and Leach at the same clinic is going to be quite fun for some of those coaches. If those coaches aren’t fans of the Air Raid, they will be for sure after the three days are over with. Anyone who also wants to learn about this offense will for sure want to attend as well. Leach also tends to crack jokes from time to time which will make his part of the clinic a classic.
If you have any friends that are in that area and are coaches be sure to spread the word to them because they will learn a lot from these great coaches.
