Welcome to a new week Coug fans! Now just under two full weeks away from the Spring game and then the NFL Draft the following weekend, we’ll be busy. Oh yeah and the National Championship game tonight should be a classic, my favorite Louisville is still there, even though nobody else seemed to make it as far as I thought they would. But that’s not till later, so for now let’s crash the weekend with the top Cougar links from Saturday and Sunday.

WSU spring practice: Too many players are ‘happy and healthy’ – CougCenter

"And therein lies the problem with spring ball. Sure, it’s good to get reps in, work on the system and figure out the depth chart. All these things are part of the natural flow of college football. Blanchette: Hanson Put His Best Foot Forward – Spokesman

"Any opportunity to see Hanson take on the laws of physics with his right leg should have been welcomed. Just as his leave-taking from the National Football League, inevitable as it was, is a disappointment."

Baseball

Simon Shuts Out Utes in Cougs 5-0 Win – SWX

"“Scott got stronger as the game went on,” Cougar Head Coach Donnie Marbut said. “I don’t want to call it a must win for us, but it was and Scott definitely put our team on his back.”"
