Cleveland Browns
The Browns have recently lost their starting weak side linebacker in Kaluka Maiava to the Raiders but have quite a few on their roster to make up for what they lost. Cleveland taking Long wouldn’t be a bad idea as they would be able to rebuild their team early on as well as take Long in the later part of the draft. The Browns were a team that struggled last season as they went 5-11 and last in the AFC North and could use a lot of rebuilding.
The Perfect Storm:
Travis Long on any team would be an immediate help to their defense as well as off the field in the locker room. Long is not a player that would take up all of the cap room and would still be able to produce on the field like a great player. On the field Long is a player that can produce numbers and he proved that in 2012 with 61 total tackles in 11 games.
The only issue would be his injury that he received at the end of the season. If the browns are able to look past the injury and realize the player they are getting then Travis Long would be a key player for them.
Likelihood of Getting Drafted by Browns:
B, with the browns losing their starting linebacker Long would be a great fit and would allow them to pick up other players early in the draft as well as pick up him later on.
