Christian Caple has just tweeted that the leaders of the Arizona State Sun Devil student section have just announced that they will remain silent until the Devils score their 13th point, in honor of the great James Harden.
Of course Harden wore #13 in his college days at ASU as he does now with the Rockets.
Not sure why tonight has significance for this particular gesture, but it’s an interesting act and Washington State probably poses the least amount of threat to their record right now down the stretch. I’m hoping, nonetheless, that the Cougs take advantage of this generosity and goes on a big run to start the game, due to a lack of energy for Arizona State.
The Cougs have kept some teams under that number at times for very long first half stretches at various points during the season. Unfortunately they don’t seem to score a whole lot when that happens.
