We’ve told you about 11 known prospects in town this weekend earlier in the day, but 2 more are on campus so we’re going to give them a quick look.

RB76Olito Thompson
(Concord HS)
Concord, CA
ACU PREVIEW5-10/210/4.50

This is very welcome news to Cougar recruiting enthusiasts. Olito was thought to be looking around and had not been on the radar for an official visit to the Palouse, yet he’s in town today and we can’t be more excited. He’s committed to the Cougs, so we’re hoping this is the nail in the coffin in retaining at least 2 running back in the trio that have verballed to the class. Jamal Morrow is also in town this weekend and we’re holding out hope that the most highly rated Gerard Wicks sets a late visit in the next 2 weeks and also stays Crimson.

CB128Markell Sanders
(Eastside Catholic HS)
Bellevue, WA
ACU PREVIEW6-1/175

More good news for Coug fans, Sanders brings good size to the CB position and is a great redshirt candidate and depth/situational player going forward. He is also a previously committed Coug and if not for an injury in the beginning stages of his senior season, we believe Markell would have jumped up the charts in a big way in prospect rank. Don’t be surprised if he’s getting major playing time as early as 2014.

Go Cougs!
