Washington State Football Recruiting Nuggets: Bruggman, Finley Top Arizona QB Rankings

Our congratulations to Tyler Bruggman on an incredible career at Brophy Prep in Pheonix, AZ. It was capped off in 2012 with a near 2,800 yards performance with 33 touchdowns (only 7 ints), along with being named the 2nd best quarterback in the state of Arizona (making Arizona’s second team all state) for the year 2012 by the Arizona Football Coaches Association.

Bruggman is a 4-star Cougar Commit and one of the most productive QB’s in Arizona state high school history, as he threw for almost 2,500 yards and an incredible 37 touchdowns his junior season as well. He is a kid who is still “100 percent committed to Washington State” at this point in time, amid the late season personnel situation and rumors flying around the WSU program over the past couple of months. He’s excited about the coaching staff and fired up about the changing culture towards winning in Washington State football.

"The discipline of that coaching staff and that they’re there to win, not just to be there, as a recruit, that’s what I’m looking for."

The quarterback who beat him out for the #1 spot in the voting is Ryan Finley of Paradise Valley. Finley is heading to Boise State at the end of the season.

Go Cougs!
