2012 Football Commit: Brandon Bagley JC CB

facebooktwitterreddit

Bagley committed to Coach Leach last night and will be arriving in August. He’ll have 4 years to play 3, which is very good for a JC guy. Good thing is he can red-shirt and will still have lots of time to play. He is undersized and isn’t very big weight wise. But he has very good pass coverage skills and has an eye for the football.

He didn’t play much this past season but when he did he made an impact. Bagley posted 21 tackles and 4 interceptions. Will be interesting to see how he adapts come Fall camp, won’t have much time to adapt because Fall camp should be starting pretty close to his arrival.

Bagley is definitely a very quick corner and is a physical DB for someone of his size, which is what our secondary is lacking.  For some highlights of Bagley click on the link below:

I just thought I’d bring this up, a lot of people are comparing this class to Wulff’s 2011 class which is highly unnecessary. They are very similar but a huge missing key is… you’re comparing post senior season rankings to Pre-season senior rankings. Chester Sua was a 4 star just like Bruggman… but many did not know Sua was originally NR and next bumped to a 2 star when he committed and towards the end moved to a 4 star.

I really don’t agree with this comparison because a lot of our kids should be bumped. Like Peyton Pelluer, who was jumped bumped to a 4 star on ESPN.
