ESPN Writer Says Washington State May Reach Top 25

ESPN senior writer Ryan McGee has Washington State in his top teams on the rise from outside the top 25. As I said in our announcement about or opening Thursday night game on ESPN, I too think that our Cougs can crack the top 25 early in the season. It’s obvious that the national buzz is rising for the Mike Leach era at Wazzu, and especially the first game at BYU with all its’ storylines. It helps that we return a terrific, athletic quarterback and one of the deepest receiving corps in the conference and of course will be an almost sure-fire high scoring machine. We know the defense is a big question mark, but the anticipation in the rest of the nation is growing for our beloved Cougs regardless. It’s the first time since the Gesser days that we’ve had any national attention and I’m just sitting here getting more excited by the day!
