1: Quarterback Battle

This season the Washington State Cougars are all set with incumbent starter Connor Halliday leading the way into the Summer. He’ll get some reps and I’m hoping it will surprise us just how sharp he is on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a hint; he’s been razor-sharp all Spring and hasn’t given a whiff of doubt about his leadership on this football team.

The real question here though is; who is No. 2 behind Halliday? Tyler Bruggman is the ‘heir-apparent’ to the throne but fellow redshirt freshman (walk-on) Luke Falk is giving Bruggs a run for his money. Mike Leach said much of last year that Bruggman was as hard a worker as he has ever had, we’ll see if that pays off today. We should get a nice extended view of both this afternoon in Spokane.
