The 2014 NFL Draft is sneaking upon us rapidly and the Seattle Seahawks are in full preparation mode for the event.

Aaron Wilson gave us the news that Deone Bucannon headed to Seattle on a visit over the past couple days:

"Washington State All-American safety Deone Bucannon visits the Seattle Seahawks on Monday and Tuesday, according to a league source.Bucannon visits the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday and Wednesday, the New York Jets on Wednesday and Thursday and the New York Giants on Thursday and Friday. He has previously visited the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens."

This is obviously an extremely interesting development that leads me to believe that there may be significant concern throughout the organization for Kam Chancellor’s hip. It also makes me wonder if Seattle may be willing to trade back to acquire another second or third round pick.

Bucannon somewhere in the first half of the second round seems to be a going-trend right now among NFL draft experts. However, based on all these visits, Buc’s stock may be higher than the experts know. We’ll see how this all works out, but nothing would please me more than another Cougar defensive back heading to Seattle on the second day of the 2014 draft.
