It would seem Washington’s situation with losing Steve Sarkisian to USC today is cause for celebration around the Pullman football recruiting community. Rahshead Johnson, who had a “confusing” time about 10 or 11 days ago, gave the Huskies more bad news a couple hours ago.

After that he mentioned four teams that he’s looking at right now.

"“Bear Down”, “Utes”, “Sun Devils”, “Wazzu”"

The key name you DO NOT see there is USC. Sometimes it’s natural for highly sought after recruits to follow head coaches in a situation like this but that isn’t the case here.

Therefore it’s tough to imagine Washington State not at the top of the list right now, as Johnson said he was “very interested and excited” about his trip to Pullman, which was ironically two weeks ago against Utah. The Cougars are most certainly interested in him and would seriously benefit in their defensive backfield from his addition, if he should so commit.

Leach and Co. are always on the phones and I bet he’s already talking to the coaches about his future at “Wazzu”. Some Cougar commits are sure to reach out to Johnson and try to help the young man on his way to the Pullman campus. WSU verbal LB commit Chandler Leniu already sent out the tweet “Wazzu?” to the young man.

Stay tuned!
