Hello Fansided Readers! My name is Bridgette Larsen, and I am excited to be joining the team as a sports writer. I’m honored to be All Coug’d Up’s first female reporter.

I’m currently a student journalist in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, specializing in broadcast news and minoring in business. I’m passionate about sports and I love being the first to break a news story. I have experience reporting sports for The Daily Evergreen and Cable 8 Production’s sports series “Cougnation”. I’m also the president of a communications organization at WSU.

I am very excited to get out and report on all the current events happening in sports. Playing volleyball competitively for seven years gave me a strong interest in athletics, and gave me a first-hand appreciation of the triumphs and failures athletes face. I am lucky to be able to combine my passion for journalism and sports in what I do.

I’m originally from Walnut Creek, CA, an area near San Francisco. I’m a third generation Coug and love attending school here at Washington State. Being in the Murrow College has allowed me to learn the hands-on training it takes to be a successful reporter, and I hope to use those skills to share the news of sports.

Go Cougs!
