Stacked Against the Pick:

Twelve receivers on the Eagles team are stacked against Wilson, and not just any twelve receivers. As it is, it’s going to be tough to make the team for the guys already there. It’s an all-star group and they’ve already added Ifeanyi Momah, a 6’7″ receiver from Boston College. Listen to the names on this roster and you’ll see why Wilson isn’t even part of the Philadelphia draft board:

Desean Jackson (Cal), Riley Cooper (Florida), Marvin McNutt (Iowa), B.J. Cunningham (Mich. St.), Arrelious Benn (Illinois), Jeremy Macklin (Missouri), Greg Salas (Hawaii), Jason Avant (Michigan), Damaris Johnson (Tulsa) and others. Are you kidding me? That’s an All-American list of players all at one position. There’s no way Philly can afford to keep them all and there’s no way the guys who don’t make the final list make it out of waivers. Yeah, sorry Marquess.

The Perfect Storm:

The perfect situation for Marquess here is simply to be ignored by the Eagles. He just simply wouldn’t add to the group already implanted there and it wouldn’t do anything for him or any other receiver to be picked up by them.
