We’ve just learned via Christian Caple that Ken Bone will be back for at least one more season as Washington State’s basketball coach:

So it’s on to year five of Ken Bone in Pullman. One has to think that dollars played into the decision a little bit, but also it’s been debated by several Cougar outlets that Bone has at the very least a team that should be able to compete athletically in the Pac-12 Conference. The comparison to this years’ Arizona State team has been made more than a few times and we can hope that’s the type of change that will take place in 2013/2014.

Though I was an advocate for change here, I am happy for Bone and his assistants and sincerely hope he can get it together and begin to turn this ship around. Nobody should want to suffer through another sub-par basketball season just to hope that he doesn’t do enough to stay put after one more stint. However if it’s not turned around next season, the demand for change will be great and this won’t be the outcome of the situation.

Go Cougs!
