Richard Peters Officially Not Coming to WSU

All Coug’d Up was informed earlier in the day by a reliable source that Richard Peters, the one time 3 star commitment to the Washington State Basketball Program, has been officially ruled ineligible to play on a Division 1 roster this year by the NCAA. Peters will have to go to a JC and work his way up, and will likely not return to the Cougs if he does get things corrected. Although not necessarily shocking or unexpected at this point, it’s unfortunate as Peters was the big body of our 2012 class and really would have fit in nicely to the rotation with his athleticism and length. In anticipation of this news Ken Bone has already signed James Hunter whom we talked about yesterday.

Hopefully we still are able to salvage the class by having Demarquise Johnson pull through with his test scores, or get a Jordan Tebbutt surprise in the final hour. Until then the Coug Bball Nation will be on pins and needles, hoping to hear good news.
