Over the first 3/4 of the season, Mike Leach has harped on the fact that he doesn’t know anyone else in the situation the Cougs have endured over that stretch, with eight games in a row to start the year. There are a few who have gone through similar stretches, but probably not even two or three that have had the Cougars’ schedule, especially the last five.

Now, the Cougs have had a month with only one football game. The end result should be a Cougar team that has fresh legs and fresh minds for the stretch run that will decide their bowl fate.
