Don’t worry Cougar fans, nobody is poaching Mike Leach after year two, he is staying at least one more year.

Not sure if many fans look at this to much any more, although it was definitely a point of discussion last season. At any rate, Leach and Moos will come to their annual agreement on Dec. 31 to rollover yet another year of the five year contract that Leach signed at the end of 2011.

"We’ve got a lot of work to do here. I don’t really think about contracts, I just go to work every day."

From a contractual standpoint, you can clearly see that Moos does things differently than the previous regime, who gave both Paul Wulff and Ken Bone guaranteed full-term contracts. To me, that’s the smart move, so you never get stuck in a situation where you are “stuck” with a guy you do not want leading the program. Men’s basketball be in that very position.

So far Leach is 7-14 in a season plus, the Cougs still have an opportunity to make a bowl game in 2014.
