1: Cold Front

At one point or other over the past few days all of us have mentioned that the weather is going to play a factor in the football game. Generally it’s mostly a case of “both teams have to play in it”, but in this case Arizona State hasn’t played in anything resembling the cold to this point in the season.

The Devils have played in their natural habitat for all seven games this season, including five times at home, one time in Jerry-World (Cowboys Stadium) and one time in Cali (Palo-Alto). The ball and surface will be much harder and slicker, body temperatures will drop faster for the boys from the Desert and everything will hurt a little bit more than usual. If I remember correctly, they didn’t handle to cold too well last time they were up here either.
