I know if you’re a Cougar fan you’re really excited about this, no matter what you thought before kickoff Saturday night. But I gotta say it, I’m so glad you nay-sayers took a shot (um, foot) in the mouth. This week I saw a bunch of Coug fans who were so negative that they had WSU going 2-10!

Not to project too early (and this is exactly that), but the Cougars get Southern Utah, then Idaho who just got SMOKED by Wyoming yesterday. I’m going to go ahead and put us at 3-1 exactly two weeks from now.

2-10 huh?

Again, I know you’re more happy to be wrong about that than not (again, in a projecting sense, due to still having to beat a couple of bad teams), so don’t take this completely personal. I just kinda hate the ugly negative attitudes that our fans exude from time to time. I suppose that’s every fan base, but the whole bash Auburn deal was just sad to me. I said all week that Auburn was better than we gave them credit for… believe it now?

I guess it’s still too early for all of this but for the record Auburn beat on Arky State yesterday with over 300 yards on the ground to the tune of 38-9. Yeah, it’s the Red Wolves, but by the way our fans were talking after week 1 I thought Auburn was like a really mediocre FCS team or something. They might be pretty good (at the very least a whole lot better than last year), and so might Washington State.

The Cougs should be 3-1 going into a big time matchup with Stanford in Seattle in three weeks. And it’s nice to be on top of the Pac-12 standings again! Even if it is just for a week or two.

GO COUGS!
