The Oregon Ducks have a lot of up-tempo metaphors for how their lighting-fast offense and uniforms look on the field, but now have simply run away from everybody off the field too, in the “new football complex” game. $68 million of pure glitter and shine now lights up the Oregon campus, and it’s rather unbelievable the amenities that come with such a price tag, or maybe it’s not.

For head coach Mark Helfrich, things get really interesting right? I mean his incredible office now practically sits right over the Oregon practice field, so he could literally put a walkie talkie, a chilled beverage and a custom foot bath to optimum use while running practice from there if he wanted to. What would his walkie talkie look like? What would it be called? The “Nike Talk Toy 3000”? Chip Kelly, my man, you missed out!

Hey speaking of the Chipster, with this new building in place I don’t think Oregon will miss him too much, do you?

In all seriousness, the rest of the college football world is just going to be jealous all over again of what Oregon has, totally unmatched funding for this palace they call a “football complex” and whatever else they think of when everybody else “closes the gap” in about 15 years. 145,000 square feet, loaded with the best football amenities money can buy, will be quite the attraction for more than just some of the top athletes in the country. For everybody else in college football trying to sell their program, thank god for playing time and tradition!

I’m sure they’re also elsewhere, but I found THESE SPECTACULAR PHOTOS of the complex on NFL.com
