Stats: 34 rec, 546 yards, 3 TD

What he accomplished in 2012: Dominique had a slow start to his RS Freshman campaign, only catching three passes, for 48 yards in the first six games of the season. Then things started to pick up for Williams in the last six games, catching 28 passes for 498 yards.

When Marquees Wilson quit the team, he left open a huge void to fill, and I think its safe to say Williams filled in quite nicely. He became that big, down field target, that we desperately needed after Wilson’s departure. Still very raw, Williams picked up steam as the season progressed, ending it with an eight catch, 143 yard game vs the Huskies.

What I expect in 2013: Big things! I fully expect Williams to become the number one target, although I do say that with a little caution, because in this offense the number one target seems to change from week to week.

Dominique has all the intangibles to become a great wide out for the Cougs this season. If he can can continue to grow, I don’t see why he cant be the next great Wazzu receiver,  joining the likes of his mentor, Marquees Wilson (When I say mentor, I mean older classmate who was ahead of him on the depth chart) as one of the best to come through this University. I don’t think he will surpass Wilson’s numbers, but I do think he can be that big play wide out.

Williams was one of my favorite recruits coming out of high school two years ago. Underrated, but he screamed big time potential and I think he finally lives up to that potential this year and becomes everybody’s favorite player. Williams, Williams, hes our man, if he cant do it….well then maybe Marks can! I love our offense!

Go Cougs!
